I have ADD, OCD and Anxiety. When I discovered a few years ago that too much 'stuff' was fueling my anxiety (not to mention depleting my bank accout!) I decluttered my closet. I was able to eliminate my dresser and moved it out of my room (I gave it away to a family member). I recently decluttered my clothes. I'm down to FOUR tops, ONE pullover hoodie and ONE zip up hoodie, TWO jeggings and TWO sweatpants. I have one pair of boots, and 2 pairs of shoes. I haven't had an anxiety attack in a year or better!

i currently only have 14pieces of clothing (excluding underwear & pyjamas)! but I just wanted to share that this did not happen overnight! i was also a hoarder and shopaholic and my journey to minimalism started around 2 or 3 years ago.. i did two rounds of konmari method and on/decluttering since 2020 until the end of 2022 i still had like 60-70pieces of clothing.. decluttered at least 200 hangers 😅 the final turning point was i got pregnant recently and also had to do a home renovation, so it gave me the opportunity to downsize everything to just these 14pieces, since I knew that i wont be able to wear the pre-pregnancy skinny clothes for at least 2years (or maybe forever?), i donated all... good luck to everyone who is trying to minimise their stuff and trust the process, give urself time!

I’m choosing to become a luxury minimalist. I am moving from over 300 items of clothes to a very well curated 100 (or 50 per season). Where I live we only have hot or cold weather. After I drop by 2/3 maybe I’ll go lower. But each item has to be the absolute best quality.

Good video. I have been on what I guess I would call an "intentionalist" journey the last 2 years. I won't ever be a minimalist, I like things and variety too much lol, but I want to be intentional about the clothes, books, craft supplies I keep or things I bring into my house to keep clutter down. My closet has been the most effected since I have also been transitioning from college to work clothes & I am so pleased with the result. Still on a journey but have reached the "maintenance" stage which makes me so happy!

I’m decluttering my wardrobe in steps. One week I think I want to keep certain pieces but when I look again the following week I’m ready to let them go. As I sit here watching your video I can think of several things I can declutter. I also gained weight last year due to a medication I was taking. I came off of it after about a year but it left me around 30 lbs. heavier. I’m currently trying to lose the weight so have decided to hold on to some favourite clothing as well. It may take me a while but I am determined to lose the weight or at least get down to a healthy and more sustainable weight. Thank you for sharing.🥰

First off, CONGRATULATIONS on getting your health in a better place, and giving your body love and grace while transitioning back to your set point. I’m 5mos post partum with my 4th and it’s a daily struggle to not rush this transitional seasons. Second, I think your beautiful in the outfits you showed off, so celebrate the body shape and size you have at present. One day you’ll look back and cherish how you looked. Third, that’s a LOT of clothes got rid of!! I took 8 full bags of clothing this past weekend to donate and I couldn’t believe how much I had as filler. I also gravitate towards softer, neutral colors and don’t currently have any prints aside from one bag. That was my overabundance, purses!! All thrifted, but all designer and easy to buy while pregnant (other than jewelry) because nothing else would fit. It was a hard week sitting with the uncomfortable feeling that I didn’t need 30+ bags but I couldn’t let them go. It’s an emotional process for sure. I also appreciate how you brought everything together to make sure it all worked. I am going to go through my “saved” clothing and take a hard look at if the clothes I hope to get back into will really serve me or if they are just part of my fantasy self I can’t seem to shake. Thanks for sharing and keep up the self growth.

Very motivating video! I already have a "one in one out" rule, but this inspires me to go even further and get rid of what I don't wear/need!

I truly admire people who can cut their clothing firm this much. I always regret getting rid of certain items but I’m
Slowly overcoming it. Growing up with limited media is the cause of a lot of my over- owning lol I just made up that term hopefully it makes sense.

I just started following you a few days ago on your minimal journey. I have binged watched all your videos. Way to go! I have been on my minimal journey for over 7 years now. I still love to try and declutter my items. I love my capsule wardrobe. I would love a house tour and kitchen inventory. These are my favorite types of videos.

I have rid much of my wardrobe, clothes & shoes with so many physical moves. At times I do regret or rather miss certain items. So I think you should avoid getting too minimal too quickly. Enjoy getting more use of what you have perhaps another year b4 purging again, or try the one out one in method. Best wishes.

Good for you. I rented a small condo where literally I had 10 outfits then I moved into my home and realized I had like 50 garbage bags of clothes I was depressed and over whelmed. I did donate a lot but I still have lots left. It’s unbelievable how much one can collect over the years.

It sounds like you made a smart choice to store items in a different size! I also love that you started with research and went in with an understanding of your needs. Good work! You look super cute in these outfits and the color palette looks great on you :)

Yes to a video diving into your capsule wardrobe and how you fine tuned it! I've paired down my wardrobe a lot (with the help of the Acloset app), but I wouldn't say it's really a capsule wardrobe and I'm nervous to make the leap. It's helpful to see the process of using what you already have!

Not sure why your video showed up in my feed, but I clicked on it because it sounded familiar. In some respects, I've already been there done that. I'd ended up with massively too many clothes for a different reason than you - I really got into treasure hunting thrift stores. I ended up with some good quality practical stuff, but also an awful lot of "interesting" or "it's not my style but maybe I'll try it" stuff. I'm also older than you so I've had more time to accumulate. This worked because my weight was the same for decades. Then I put on some weight due to lifestyle change plus age and then covid. I finally collected some larger clothes and proceeded to collect too many in a relatively short time. Being a packrat, I did something close to what you did with your smaller clothes, going through and donating what I hadn't actually worn much (or at all) when it fit and packing away the stuff I liked or in my case was ambivalent about. Then I got a VR headset and started using vr fitness programs like Holofit and BodyCombat and focusing on eating healthy and gradually got back to my usual weight. I was so glad I had my containers of stored clothing to shop from! And yes, I filled in here and there like you did. Great video. You explained the process very nicely without a lot of fluff. While I have no desire to be as minimal as you aspire to, the process you went through to declutter your wardrobe really works. I can attest to that. 😀
