“Clutter is not just the stuff on your floor – it's anything that stands between you and the life you want to be living.”

Minimalism has reminded me that the purpose of clothes is just to cover my body. I used to travel with checked in luggage but now I can travel with just a carry on bag and I love it. Freedom from attachments and opinions.

I like that you touched on how it's not all about practicality. During my journey, I went through a period where I hardly spent on new clothing, and wore items from years ago. I loved the frugal and minimalist lifestyle that it promoted. However when I turned 30, I realized that my clothing styles did not fully reflect other things I value - personal expression, creativity, and aesthetics. So, I'm back to purchasing beautiful pieces albeit through an intentional lens. I don't think the past times were wasted, because it helped me to understand what I truly value and now spend my money in an intentional way.

I love how conscious and self reflective you are about not living in excess. Definitely inspires me to do the same 💛

So realistic. We need to stop buying so much; especially as a emotional attachment with distraction from what we actually need to address. As a Life Coach, I often encounter this issue with clients.

This video really resonated with me. Clothes is the one area where I struggle to be a minimalist. I tired a capsule wardrobe for one month and I didn’t really enjoy it. I’ve decided to stop feeling guilty about owning a lot of clothes. I wear them all and they fit in my space! Thanks for sharing!😊💞

Not just clothes, but I’ve been doing the same for mugs and kitchen ware too! This is a great motivation to clean out my closet!

*It's amazing how we have a closet full of clothes but only gravitate to a few items, it's like a mental uniform we unconsciously built for ourselves. Im still decluttering and building a wardrobe that I'm content with, im so happy for your new season in life. Ive been adsense from YouTube lately will be catching up on your videos* 😊💕

My closet currently doesn't reflect my style either. Crazy how hoarding onto things can make us feel so overwhelmed, yet we do it anyways lol. Really need to start decluttering my space!

I LOVE the little dogs in the video. I love when the short hair dog wags its tail while laying down..Super cute. Or hearing their nails on the wood floors. Love dogs period! I'm the same with my wardrobe... I have sooo much, very organized, but also find myself wearing the same things on my days off.

I’ve been decluttering my wardrobe and trying to have a small curated closet since 2014. I used to the girl who shopped fast fashion as a hobby & had closets (plural) stuffed with clothes. Now I have the least amount of clothing I think have ever had but I feel like I have way more to wear. Beautiful video as always Sophie 💕you make such meaningful content.

I AM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL. I am starting a new life for myself and had been praying and meditation on how to get rid of my old clothes and detach from co-dependency. I threw out two small bags of cloths today now I'm ready for the big job. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this. I feel like I can take on my new business projects now and become successful in my finances and regain my independence.

This video made me motovated to change my life! My wordrobe is making me exhausted every day and at the same time I was afraid to even begin the process of declutering. Now I now it's good for me and there's nothing to be afraid of. Clothes are just clothes

I appreciate that you talk about how clothes are more than just a need to cover our bodies—self-expression through clothing and my personal style makes me profoundly happy and I often see minimalism turning into essentialism and presenting that as the only real way to be minimalist

I absolutely adore decluttering! I have a hard time decluttering my closet but I have been selling a lot of books I didn't like instead. Seeing the new space in my room (and the money in my vinted wallet) make me really happy!

I started decluttering a few months ago, taking out clothes and keeping a maybe pile, a for sale pile, and a donate pile. I've been looking through things in every room that I could reduce. My kitchen is already 80% clutter free. But going through my clothes was emotionally draining...I felt really overwhelmed. After months of going through them, I'm finally ready to let go of 80% of my clothes, shoes, cosmetics, jewellery. And yes, it is incredibly liberating and freeing.

I watched all of your videos recently, and you truly not only inspired me, but also changed me. You are one of those healers God made to make someone's life a lot better. Thank you, Sophie. I owe you a lot 😊

Viewing clothes as collection pieces and not just disposable items really is eye opening. It makes me pause and put more thought into items I want to add to my collection. Thanks for that! Love your videos.
