This is a great stretch for the dorsal scapular nerve and long thoracic nerve pain. You can have impingement in these nerves from the neck and upper back. Hold this stretch for 30 to 45 seconds multiple times a day. Make sure to really focus on telescoping the arms out. 90% of the treatment is in the last 10% of the stretch so be sure to push it to the end range of motion without creating more pain.
