This is not the video I was looking for AT ALL but I am glad I found it. Not only was this an educational video that I will definantly take note of, I'm faded and thought this was AMAZING. The way this dude just knows exactly how his fucking car works, detail for detail makes me feel like a little kid listening to an old wise man speak. Love this video. 10/10

One thing I've learned from driving in mountains is that whatever gear you're on when uphill, if downhill the same part of the road you'll go with the same gear. For example, if you uphill on second gear 40 kmh, then on return you have to downhill on second gear 40 kmh so that you don't need to brake all the time

Whooo😂❤ im 40 and live in AZ and iv always tried to use my breaks as least as possible. Now i understand why. I learned to drive in Pennsylvania.

Good video Feesher! This is very important in mountainous parts. The locals all know this stuff but folks from the hot prairie usually don't.

From texas and went out to Breckenridge, Alma area. I just rode slow. By time i get speed im going up a hill. Up hill i need to work on though cause RMPs were very high but idk if that's Normal on mountains

Florida native here and yesterday was my first time driving the Rockies. I’m quite a comfortable driver but as we rose the mountains it became more and more stressful cuz the downhills man. Crazy . Was def running the brakes too much. Rented an AWD hyundai automatic tuscon. Thought it was the car but natives told me it’s just hard at first. Will definitely be in the lower gear this time

It’s honestly easy i went to the mountains within driving a manual for 2 weeks and I just kinda figured it out. Just going up shift at higher rpm’s and use downshifts to cool off your breaks

Just drove through Colorado and I used cruise control in my older Honda Civic the entire time (with the exception of very steep hills, which I would use brakes only when the cruise control didn't slow me down enough for harsh curves. Any input about using cruise control on an automatic?

Is it OK to change the gears while Gasing or should I let off the gas pedal then change gears?

Just moved to Asheville, NC. Got a new Volkswagen and was so afraid that I was going to damage the breaks because the mountains are crazy here.

When going uphill in automatic, how to prevent your car from heating up?

Do you put your gear to 1 or 2, or just leave it at D?
