Scott, one of the simplest yet most important tips has to do with your device that you are using. If you are working off of a laptop or tablet, one must always elevate their camera to just slightly above eye level. As you mentioned in your opening, a lot of people are conducting video conference meeting today. Good examples on why this is important can be found on the hundreds of people appearing on cable news shows. 8 out of 10 times, they are looking down at the camera and you as the viewer are looking up their nose. What I have done is grabbed an old Amazon shipping box about 4 or 5 inches in height. I place my laptop on it and when I am in a meeting, I am in essence making "eye contact" with the viewer on the other side. A stack of books couls also work.

It's nice to hear someone pronounce words as clearly as you, Scott.

Thank you for the "floating menu" tip! I often wondered how to hide it temporarily for the same problem you highlighted in the video. Tip I'd like to share: when creating your meetings, click on "enable join before host" which allows participants to join the meeting room before I do. I use Zoom to schedule my own meetings as well as for my executives and this tip allows everyone to join without me having to start the meeting or my executives can use different devices and still lead their meetings.

This is AMAZING. Why doesn't zoom have people like you explaining their product to us? Everytime I joined a session to learn something I very quickly felt left behind. You made this so simple, so interesting, so informative, so useful!! Thanks so much :-)

Having recently been thrust into online teaching "thanks" to COVID, I've watched a host of YT videos and participated in many webinars on Zoom to get up to speed, but this video contains a serious amount of REALLY useful information I'd still not come accross. Personal favourite: the Zoom add on for the calendar/browser! Many thanks for this short, polished and practical video!

The last tip was definitely the best for me. I just started a remote job working with people who have developmental disabilities. Having options for pointing and circling while we look up websites or write out notes is great when I don't know if I have their attention.

My two favorites: Mute All and Annotate. I didn't know about either of these, but can't wait to try them out. It was a little hard to decide which of the tips are my favorites. Even though I use Zoom every day, and have been using it for years, I learned A LOT from this video! Thanks!

Great info -- I especially liked learning about the HIDE FLOATING CONTROL PANEL as it was limiting the usefulness of a screen share

Thank you for the excellent presentation - i have been using ZOOM for three months now, and i really did not know about most of what you covered. My favourite was the annotate function.

How to move the floating bar was probably my favourite, but also knowing what the participants are seeing when I am doing various things is VERY helpful!! Thanks so much!!

Wow! This was great! I signed up for Zoom 3 days ago because people were asking me if I could post on-line classes. You answered many of my questions in this post. My favourite tip today was you talking about how to use the share screens. Thanks
