[Game of Thornes] S7 Can Daenerys Produce an Heir? | GoT Season 7 Episode 7

Game of Thornes has brought up that Daenerys may not be able to have kids in season 7. We look at what we know about Daenerys having a baby in GoT.

Can Daenerys have a baby? We have thought that Dany couldn't get pregnant, but the show seems to be foreshadowing that she might be able to have a child before season 8 is over.
The Game of Thrones season 7 episode 6 almost went out of its way to point out that Daenerys Targaryen is barren. There were two mentions of the Mother of Dragons inability to reproduce, but is this something that we know for sure?
Early on in Game of Thrones Daenerys lost her child Rhaego because of blood magic that she used to try to heal the dying Khal Drogo who was her husband. She employed the help of Mirri Maaz Duur who performed blood magic saying that death had to pay for life. Even though Daenerys thought Khal Drogo's horse would be killed, she had no idea that Maaz Duur was talking about her unborn child Rhaego as well.
In Game of Thrones season 7 Daenerys and Jon Snow seem to be headed into a romantic relationship. This brinds up the question of whether Daenerys can have kids or not. SInce she plans to sit on the Iron Throne she will need an heir to take her place after she dies. Tyrion has brought this up, and her coupling with Jon Snow makes us wonder.
With Game of Thornes s7 epiosde 7 on the way we look at what we can find about her being able to produce an heir. Is it just that she thinks she can't bear children? Is Mirri Maaz Duur's magic still making her barren? Will Daenerys Targaryen ever be able to have a child to carry on her legacy? Or, will she have to see an alternate form of succession for when she is gone?

These are the two theories I've thought about on why she might be able to have children now:

Theory 1: Viserion died and the sorcerer who took away Dany's ability to have a child told her that "only death can pay for life". Maybe there is a tradeoff, Viserion for a real child of Dany.

Theory 2: Perhaps to produce an heir, her body requires the insemination from a man who is also blood of the dragon like her, Jon Snow.

And it's not just any life, otherwise the horse Dany sacrificed in S1 would have been enough to bring back Khal Drogo. No, it has to be someone who has Kingsblood or shares blood with the person they are giving up their life for. Rhaego gave up his life for his father Drogo, who is of his blood. Now Viserion has given up his life for his unborn sibling who shares his blood (the blood of the dragon, aka royal magical blood). She can probably have a kid, and only that one kid; and seeing how Jon is a freaking magical undead fire wight, that kid is going to be fucking special.

Yeah I think she can have kids. After what Jorah said to Jon just after giving him Longclaw back, I think it's already decided. Would be a shocker if she died in child birth tho.

Dany after winning the Iron throne: My first decree as Queen of Westeros is as follows. The direction currently known as "East" will now be officially named "West" and vise versa. Viseryion paid for the death debt that the witch, sorcerer said to Daenerys in season 1 imo. She will get pregnant. And I don't think she is gonna die after giving birth. It will be cheap for the characther to go out like that after evolving and achieving a lot.

In the final Daenerys chapter, I think its possible that she was in the early stages of pregnancy, and that she miscarried as a result of overdosing on whatever those green berries she ate were?If you guys remember..

Dany has long taken it as an article of faith that she is barren, based on Mirri Maz Dur's inclusion of Dany bearing children in the list of impossible conditions that will be fulfilled before Khal Drogo comes back to himself (i.e., it'll never happen), but hey, why exactly should Mirri's pronouncement be taken as gospel? Particularly when Mirri appears to have plenty of motivation to be speaking out of simple malice, and no particular incentive to tell the truth.

Dany hasn't had the opportunity to test the proposition until recently (i.e. no sex until she starts the affair with Daario). In her final chapter, she eats the berries whatever the hell those berries were called I guess just green berries?? anyways then starts cramping, pukes her guts out. She wakes up to blood on her thighs, realizes its her monthly flow, thinks that she can't recall when was her last flow. Then she notes that this flow seems unusually heavy. She doesn't really go anywhere further with it, and the Khal's outrider shows up.

To me, that seems like it could be described as an early stage pregnancy that she has just miscarried. Jon's seed could be strong and daenerys also might have gained her feminine strength to Produce an heir So who knows...

Viserion theory is a good one, only death can pay for life but also don't forget Jon snow already died so maybe his death at castle black means he can give daenerys a child

FYI, actually, in the books, Daenerys did actually feed the baby dragons at her breast.
Yeah, I admit to not wanting them together, but way or any other, why do people think that that Jon and Dany hooking-up, (baby or not), will lead to a Happily-Ever-After?

"Only death can pay for life" maybe now that Dany lost one of her dragons "children" she will be able to have one and only one more child. Most likely with Jon. Thus making them the "3 heads of the dragon"

She will be able to have a baby after S7 finale - prophecy:
1) "When the son rises in the west and sets in the east, "
- the Son of Ice and Fire = Jon Snow fell in the east of Castle Black and was risen in the west of Castle Black (show did special shots of it so that this is visible)
2) "When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves."
- the seas are frozen = dry
- the mountains that are part of the Wall together with it will all shatter at the end of S7 (no clue how but I feel it :D)

Jon's gonna get her pregnant, at least on the show. They would not have brought up her being barren unless things are going to change.
