Tesla hints at in-house LFP batteries with new job listing

Tesla's in-house LFP production could support future projects like the newly unveiled Cybercab, expected to enter production in 2026. The company is also expanding its Gigafactory in Nevada, aiming to produce 100 GWh of 4680 battery cells. Additionally, Tesla plans to collaborate with Chinese battery manufacturer CATL, with reports suggesting that CATL’s LFP cells could offer over 620 miles of range and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
