I suggest you (double) check with your utility company to see if there’s a program for owning an electric vehicle. In San Diego, we have super off peak hours between 12AM-6AM on weekdays, 12AM-2PM on weekends and holidays. The cost is 10 cents a kilowatt during those hours. We also get a rebate for buying a Plug-in Hybrid or a fully Electric Vehicle.

Thank you so much for all the tips. I got my model Y for 1 months now and been using super charger because that is my only option. I have 1 big question, every time I navigated to the supercharger I don’t think the battery is preconditioned. Because I never see the warning that said preconditioned batteries for faster charging.

Thanks for the tip. What do I do when I will be away from home for months? Do I just leave the charger on my Tesla? Schedule to charge at a certain level? Would really appreciate your knowledge.

What if you are at 75% would u still charge it back up to 80%? Or just skip that day for charging

Do you think your Tesla needs to be preconditioned when charging on a Level 2 charger at home? For example, if I come home from work and plug in ( tesla knows my home charging) it does not precondition the car for charging before arriving at home.

When charging at home, what Amp should you set the phone app? Mine goes from 5 A to 32 A. I noticed yours showed 48A. Is there a number that is best for charging? Also I don't have a Charge by setting. I Have a Start Charging At. At least not on my phone app.

I charge at home and at work. I have the Tesla Mobile Connector. I have 2 adapters. The adapter for the regular home outlet (NEMA 5-15 Adapter) and a NEMA Adapter 10-30. The 10-30 connector is very hard to remove from the Mobile Connector compared to the 5-15 adapter. I pull and tug and it finally comes loose. Any suggestions?

Love the videos and tips about Tesla ❤
Currently I’m waiting for my model y and I’ll be charging at a supercharger most of the time. But I have one question, can i use 110v upconverter to 220v to charge my tesla at home?? Maybe u can do this experiment for ur next video!! Just a suggestion I don’t want to ruin ur Tesla.

I was wondering if it is good to drain the batter to like down toe 10% and back up to 100% periodically to help reset its the SOC to where full is on the battery?

I have a dual motor Model 3 with NMC battery. Some have suggested to ABC Always Be Charging. If I use say 25 miles a day. (175 mi per week) Should I charge once per week to bring it back to 75%. Or charge everyday to replace only the used kwh from that day so every morning I have 75%. Which is better? Charging once per week to bring the battery from 20% back up to 75% or if charging daily just to put back the 25 miles I used. It means charging often replacing small amounts or replacing large amounts less often. 1 vs 7 charge episodes per week? Elon once said "a plugged in Tesla is a happy Tesla. Suggesting to plugin all the time. What do you think?

Hello . Just picked up a model y and I didn’t wanna charge it during peak hours so I charged to 90% on Friday and didn’t charge again until Monday and the battery was depleted to 3% . I realize now after my friend yelled at me that this is very bad charging practice but my question is did I ruin anything by doing that ? The mY only has 800 miles . I definitely learned my lesson now but hoping I didn’t ruin anything?? Please reply and help

wow you pay a lot for electricity. Mine is 13¢ anytime of day and that includes all the fun extra monthly fees factored in. (Texas)

Thanks for all the quick tips! What do you do if you work from home and only drive every other day? Should you keep the car plugged at all time and set to 75-80%?

Another Question: I charge my M3 LR at 32amps. Should I charge at 32amps at all times or 16amps overnight?
