Your Mom and Grandma ( if still around) has taught you well young man. I've done same thing my whole live long life - 4th gen here. Taught my children this too. Makes it so much easier and cleaner. I shared this with a ladies group once.

I use dry papertowels to dust my toilet (at home) before cleaning it. That also works well. However, I never thought about using a swiffer. Thanks for teaching us, Brandon!

I'm so GLAD someone addressed the "wet dust" on/around the toilet. I started dry dusting years ago because I realized this crap was making me mad when all I wanted was to clean the toilet off.

I’ve always found getting the dirt out of crank window tracks to be a big challenge. Last year, I discovered a time saving hack. I saved some dish soap bottles with caps that you pull up to open and press down to close. I fill them with water and after loosing up dirt with an old toothbrush in soapy water, I use the old soap bottle in open cap position to flush out the dirt and soapy water. The pressure when I squeeze the bottle drives that gunk right out of the tracks and I direct it outside the window. There’s not much that excites me about window washing other that clean sparkly windows, but if I can speed up a tedious part of that chore, that’s a close second!!!!

My suggestion is a denture brush instead of a regular toothbrush. Look for a denture brush that has one end that is more pointed and one normal and flat. The pointed end is great for detailed work and small crevices.
