I'm a housecleaner. This is not really necessary unless you never clean your toilet.
I just cleaned a rental unit that was unoccupied for 3 months and the toilet was disgusting. I just used The Works toilet bowl cleaner from dollar tree

When i clean a toilet I just use glove knee pads and cleaning rags and never a brush just get on my knees and start scrubbing it
