That Navy vet who never got to go back to omaha with his brother broke me and has me in tears as I type. God bless him, his brother. His 12 friends who died and all those who never r.t.u'd.

Bonjour. I live in the south of France. The reverence, gratitude, and respect shown to allied troops, particularly the US military, in French towns and villages is so moving. There are monuments to the US military, with the names of the soliders and fresh flowers in even the smallest towns. I hope that the family members know how much their soldiers are treasured here.

Much respect and admiration to these veterans. I'd prefer to meet these D-Day veterans over celebrities any day because they served, fought and experienced things we never get to see or experience. I can only give a heartfelt salute and a thank you to these guys.
