Very clear, very nice. Lance ties what I think is the originally intended blood knot - turns on 1 side toward him, turns on the other side away. But many people (and book and mag illustrations) show turns on both sides going in the same direction (ie., turns on both sides going away or both toward the tyer). This is small potatoes but we're all fanatics and the 2 methods give a fractional difference in the number of final turns. I'd be interested to see which method gives the stronger knot on a knot testing machine...

so what knots do you use for material that are more disparant in size, i.e. 15# and 10#?
