In this video you will learn how to tie the fishing knot, the blood knot. Used for joining two lines together, the Blood Knot is a solid fishing knot and a favorite of many fishermen. The strength of the knot is increased by increasing the wraps on each side of the knot. It works best with lines of approximately equal diameter.

I like how Cam ties it by twisting it all at once. I’ve seen other guys tie them using each tag end individually but this way makes it simpler I think.

Have you ever tried the FG Knot? Its a little more difficult but once you get it down it is actually stronger than the blood not, doesnt get caught on the eyes of the rod, and doesnt cut your thumb. When pulling as hard as I can to break my line 99% of the time the line will not break at the splice. It also holds a smaller size braid, say 30 lb braid to a bigger size mono 30lb mono and wont puul through like the blood knot. If you dont know it and wanna try it I can show you my method of doing it and you can see what u think and share that with your viewers. "May the fish Gods be with you!"
