The Blood Knot - UltraFast on a Cotton Swab

The ultrafast Blood knot is made on cotton swab, or similar small toothpick.

Using a little stick to rotate and twist the lines in the tying of the Blood knot also has the advantage of providing exactly the same number of turns on each side of the lines.

This tutorial on how to tie a fishing knot is aimed to those who wish to merge two lines effectively.

The drawback with using a pick in the making of the ultrafast Blood knot is that the lines need to be the same thickness because one cannot compensate for a thinner line by adding more twists. @BenNorway

I've watched hundreds of these knot tying shorts.. many being junk or at least not done well. Came back to this one after a week. had to say thanks for this one. Easiest way to tie this knot hands down.

This is not a Blood Knot.
The knots (your and the BK) have a center and two branches, each branch has a twisted line pair moving away by the center.
In your knot each pair move away from center by rotating in the SAME direction
In the BK the line pairs have an OPPOSITE direction of rotation for each branch.

The tags need to be twisted in opposite directions for it to have the strength of a true blood knot, this will slip if using braid to mono or floro.
