What Breakout Board are you using? Can you switch to imperial units in the software? Can you post a video of your wiring of the breakout board you are using?

I’m a newbie, other than I have an 80 watt cnc laser and worked a bit with Vetric software. I’m going to purchase a cnc router table from Avid cnc, but I want to build the electronics myself, so after studying this subject, I will use a UCCNC motion controller right off the hop and learn it instead of Mach . I have seen other videos also that showed more accurate cuts .

Thanks Trav36. For now, I'm going to stick with UCCNC for my routers as it's already purchased and easy to implement. I'm actually buying a milling machine now that will run on Path Pilot which is based on LinuxCNC if I recall correctly so we'll see how it works.

I'm currently running Mach3 with an ESS Smooth Stepper and LeadShine M4660. Thinking about moving to UCCNC and unsure which controller I need. uc100 or UC300eth. My Leadshine MX4660 is handing all the limit switches so and relay outputs, so do I really need anything more than the UC100? What is the benefit of moving to the UC300, UC300eth or UC400eth

Hey Andy, thank you very much for the video ! I personally run Mach3 at 2000 Lines Lookahead which does run quite fast but still ignores accel / decel and has huge roounding errors on the part. I do have one more question, wheres the difference between the "100" and the "300" version of the ucnc usb converter cable ?

I just got UCCNC today and LOVE it so far! Does so many things better than Mach3 (as you already know)

Can I ask why you changed your "Stop at angle degrees" from 89 to 90?

I think the answer to this uneven comparison, is the "constant velocity mode" that is activated on UCCNC.

IF you want to do a video like this you need to keep the settings the same. Set Mach3 to 200 lines of look ahead and 80 deg cutoff. I think you will find similar results.

Try ncstudio from China, beautiful. Mach3, 4 uccnc are rubbish. Don't waste of your time and money like I was.
