- I decided to come to UMass because my sister is an alum, so ever since a young age, I've just always UMass in my home, and we've always taken many visits, and every time I came here as a child, I was like, "This is larger than life, "and I love this school, and I have to come here." As I got older, and I started reading up on the statistics at UMass, how we have so many number ones all across the country, I was like, "This is something I have to be a part of," so I decided to come to UMass.

-Coming to UMass, you will meet all kinds of people from all over the world. We have a large population of international students, and I feel like every time I talk to an international student, they expand my mind about something that I've never thought about. Every time I'm walking to class, I always see a new face. I can be 10 feet away, and somebody's gonna hold the door for me. People in your classes are always super helpful. You can literally just look next to the person next to you, and they're gonna wanna help you out. They're gonna wanna go to the library with you and study with you if you don't understand it, so I feel like I have never been a part of a community where literally everyone around me wants me to succeed. I don't have to hesitate about oh, I can't ask that person because of this.

-I can always literally just go to the professor and go to the person sitting right next to me. I can go to my teacher's assistant. I can go to any intern around the room. Literally everyone, even my boss for my on-campus job, wants me to succeed. Everybody wants you to succeed, and I've never been a part of a community like that, so it's a feeling that I think it's unmatched, so I definitely recommend UMass!
