KIA hasn't discounted any EV in Canada. Still full price.

Its because they want to sell old stock... EV6 and EV9 already have facelifts prepared.

The Kia EV9 is NOT a 7 seater. The second row seats cannot seat 3 people - too narrow. There is just an oversized arm rest and a seat belt there.
Kia's and Hyundai's are not designed for people over about 5" 8 in height. With the seat back so your kegs are comfortable you can't reach the front touch screen and controls without leaning forward out of your seat. When I was looking at the EV6 I kept getting stories about price increases soon and 9 month lead times. I lost interest and just got a Tesla.

LOVE my EV6. Superb car. Had it for 60, 000 miles so far.

It's because people in the US have no money to spend on new cars. Regardless if it's EVs or ICE cars. ALL manufacturers are forced to lower their prices to sell the cars they have gathered for 2 years now. Many dealers will go bankrupt.

Why have you never mentioned the Aito brand that uses Huawei technology? Aito M7 is the No. 1 sales model of SUVs above RMB 300, 000(AUD62, 500) in the Chinese market, and Aito M9 is the No. 1 sales model of cars above RMB 500, 000(AUD104, 166) in the Chinese market. Its sales volume far exceeds that of similarly priced models from luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. Huawei's smart driving far surpasses all global competitors such as Tesla. In addition, Huawei's intelligent communication modules have fully covered all models of luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. In addition, the latest news in August is that Audi has signed a contract with Huawei and will adopt Huawei's intelligent driving solution.

18k off of MSRP
Then in WA state if you lease an EV and have a working class salary, fam of 4 under $95k, you get $9k off and then the US gives you $7, 500 more.
That’s $34k off and the starting price is $54k…? 🤔
That would be a smokin deal 🔥

They are giving these discounts because people can’t afford them on full price. $80, 000, $100, 000 for a Kia??? Are you kidding me? EVs roll off the lot and you lose at lease 20% and your loan is 7% interest over 6, 7 or 8 years with $1000 a month. Who in their right mind would put themselves in financial ruin for a depreciating asset? You don’t do that for a fridge, why the hell would you do that for ANY car?

I have and need a small SUV with at least all wheel drive.
A car for me has always been a point A to point B transport.
I like the idea of a EV but I'm never paying more than $30, 000 for transport.
No options are available for me in the current or medium term that don't burn fuel...

Hyundai and Kia EVs are too expensive in Australia.

For comparison the EV9 Light Long Range (99kwh battery) is equivalent to the Earth badge in Australia - they have been discounted to $38k USD ($56k AUD) before taxes and on-road costs. The same car is $106k AUD in Australia before on-road costs.

I went to a Kia lot in Greensboro NC, USA two weeks ago and they didn't have a single EV or anything that got over 30mpg on the lot.

Sam: for the new EVs coming to Australia, it would be great if you could tell us which ones are equipped to handle V2G. Thanks 13:23 Wed 28 August

As usual customers in Europe and clearly Australia are being asked to subsidise cheap prices for US buyers. Not just EVs but it has been going on for years with Porsche etc.

Shame Hyundai and Kia are not interested in selling EVs in Australia based on their pricing. I know making 800V cars is more costly than 400V, but six figures for a Kia just isn't happening lol

I can't find these $18, 000 discounts in the Chicago land area in late August. Anyone else had better luck than me?
