“You can’t deny that Ford knows their audience.”

I’d also add that stick shift is so important because on the track it becomes more of a race between people rather than a race between cars

If you have a manual transmission car it always feels like a race car wether it is fast or not

Downshift from 3rd to 2nd as you make that left turn through the intersection, weight transfers to the front of the car, lightens the rear as you get back on the gas, executing a glorious power-side. Redline 2nd back into 3rd. You and the machine are one.

"With the manual, you are more involved, with automatic you might as well be the passenger."
-- Someone of YouTube said that, and it sounded so right, so cool. Well someone had to say note it down.

Excellent video, I can relate. I drove only stick from age 21 to 55, then bought an automatic. After 5.5 years I sold the automatic and went back to a stick, a month shy of my 61st birthday. Will drive nothing but stick as long as I'm physically able.

Why do we drive stick shift:
Because it makes us feel like we are in a Fast and Furious movie

Why I want to drive stick:

- They're more involved.
- They're fun.
- You look cool/smart doing it.
-
- Because almost nobody (in America) knows how to drive them, that means the third pedal is one of the best anti-theft mechanism's you can buy.
- They can make your car thousands of dollars cheaper.
- You don't need to yell at your car to shift up while it revs up to 5k and you can't do anything about it, you can just shift yourself.

Usa: "why we drive stick shift?"
Normal countries: "why you drive automatic?"

3:53 "almost no one knows how to drive them anymore" it should be "almost no one knows in america how to drive them anymore"

Save the Stick!
The cooking analogy is definitely spot on, wonderful content as always

I drive a manual because I'm not interested in texting while driving, and it makes my commute easier and more fun. So many hills and inclines in my city that I get involved with the car every minute and have much better control.

As I live in Europe, I was driving manual only when I got my license. I heard many people say "once you try automatic, you will never want to shift again." Now I can say it's bs, manual feels so much better to me.

to be honest, after I turned 21, I hated getting older, I hate birthdays, I'm scared of graduating, scared of growing up, scared of the future... but after watching this video and getting into cars, it helped me see the world from such a different perspective. Life is so beautiful, and much to look forward to. I struggled with depression since I was young and only for a few years ago it's been getting a lot better. I feel like I'm slowly falling back into depression until recently I found out my dream car is finally for sale (about to purchase this Saturday). I feel like I've been given a second chance to live/cars saved my life... I'm now really excited how far in life when I can get in my car. I'm excited to meet my future friends who will have the same hobby as I do, I'm excited to find really close friends I can go cruising all night with, I'm excited to travel to different cities, states, countries in my car, I'm excited to go to car meets and make friends, I'm excited to upgrade and buy mods for my car, I'm excited to be free.. I'm excited to live life. I finally have something to look forward to, I finally have a goal, I finally have passion. I've been depressed for so long when I realized I no longer wanted to go into my major that I'm almost done with.. I felt like a failure, but now I feel like I have a new hope, new light. Thanks for making this video and sorry for venting. This video really touched me and made me realize how much I appreciate life
