Appreciate the information on this. Only difference I think should be considered is the positive should be disconnected from the battery, not the negative. Reason; if that positive line that is removed from the alternator and makes contact with any metal on that vehicle, it will ground out the battery and.. well..😱 You don't want that to happen. Always disconnect the positive from the battery. I promise this is the best way to avoid most electrical accidents. Also, if the negative that is taken off of the battery makes contact to metal, it is just like being hooked up to the battery because the body and frame are the grounding network of a vehicle. Get what I'm saying? Just a safety freak looking out for whoever I can. Peace amigo

Nice vid I have the exact same car you worked on and I'm convinced this is the issue. I'm going to have a test done tomorrow then I bet I can save about $500 on the installation.

I got 2006 Range Rover Sport, doors locks and unlocks by themselves, indicators flashing by them selfs can’t turn them off and car not crank... is that could be alternator as well?

Excellent job. I appreciate your vids. I have an 2008 sport and sooner or later I will need to change mine. The car is getting older so components are starting to wear and fail. There are not many vids on how to repair these cars eventhough I think they are very easy to fix. Keep up the good work.
