I think there is a very good chance the booster landing burn will work, however I am less confident about the ship. Seeing all the work they have put in with the heatshield, it definitely has a better chance of survival than S28

Yes it will land. In all forms of aviation, takeoff is optional, landings are mandatory. Doesn’t mean it will land as intended

Update from post flight, June 6.
They did attempt the soft landings of both booster and starship and BOTH were successful. However, both were nearly failures. It was epic!

So all of this happened today booster landed in the gulf and starship landed out in the Indian Ocean.
Question- Is China or any other government out in the oceans fishing out the booster and starship and reverse engineering them?

We can see that just after launch Starship loses many of its hexagonal heat resistant tiles. I wonder if they are rethinking this design approach. I know the old shuttle craft lost a few tiles but it may be detrimental to Starship's success to figure this problem out.
