Cathedral Window 'Green Heaven' Quilt - Joseph's Coat Pattern Version!

Join me today with this exquisite Cathedral Window Quilt. At its heart, a harmonious geometric pattern unfolds, reminiscent of sparkling diamonds or timeless mosaics.

The intricate design is framed beautifully by a soft green border adorned with delicate purple blossoms, evoking a sense of timeless elegance and serenity.

To construct the window frames, I'll be using handy templates, ensuring precision and neatness throughout the project. With these, we'll cut out the pieces to build the units that form our quilt's foundation.

Each unit consists of a base and two folded pieces that create one side of the frame for each window.

Once all our units are ready, we'll arrange them in groups of three and stitch them together using the Y-seam technique. Then, we'll position these blocks to craft the quilt's center, sewing them carefully.

Using our templates, we'll cut out the windows, place them over the frames and machine appliqué them with care.

For the quilt's borders, we'll cut the fabric into four strips and quilt them with care. Attach these four strips to each side of the quilt and sew them.

Lastly, we'll prepare the binding and apply it, finishing this masterpiece with some hand sewing.
