At 2:20 was so fitting and symbolic to the victims lost... They will be remembered and are still shining brightly forever. I love and miss you terribly dad Lamont Williams 1952 - 2001.

I really appreciated that they didn’t mention the 9/11 attacks, giving the audience the chance to remember the World Trade Center as a peaceful and normal place. I remember seeing this in theaters, and when he said “forever”, I just felt an intense sadness inside.

I was a post 9/11 kid and this movie makes me wish I had the chance just to see the towers in person. But man the way this nation bounced back and made the freedom tower a feat of engineering

All the movie is just him, the towers and the wire... but that look in the end after saying "forever", like a way of saying "yes. We know...".

I was four years old when Philippe Petit made his walk across the Twin Towers in 1974, and I was 31 years old when the towers fell following the September 11th attacks in 2001. The country, and the world, has not been the same since.

The ending makes me sad because it’s symbolic for when the attack happened and forever the victims and the towers will be in our hearts💔

I was barely 2 on 9/11 and growing up i had always heard the stories of the attacks, seen video footage, or even read about it for school. I had never knew of the towers as a peaceful place growing up. But this ending was the first time i saw the world trade center and was moved to tears. Im 25 now. Never forget

I was 3 when the tragic day happened, my nan was in the other room watching and praying for all involved, to see this movie capture a marvelous event in the tower's lives so wonderfully and bring them back one more time is truly a miracle of cinema, incredible movie and incredible man ✨🌈

“Now the towers are gone. But in memory, as if imprinted on the sky, the towers are still there. And part of that memory is the joyful morning, August 7, 1974, when Philippe Petit walked between them in the air”

I visited once in 1995. There was a layer of smog hanging over the City that day. You could barely see Manhattan, but above that it was clear as a bell. I was just blown away by the antenna.

20 years ago…we watched 2, 977 innocent men and women lose their lives in the chorus of 1 hour and 42 minutes…
——————————————————
It was a day of terror, tears & triumph. Innocent lives were taken….ordinarily people were made into heroes…and our nation changed forever. I will forever love America, it’s my land, my home that gave me life, and I never give up on making my great country a better place, no matter how f’’ked up it gets. #neverforget 🇺🇸 🦅✌️

Merci Monsieur Petit, Zemekis and Gordon-Levitt.  and thanks Alpha FoX for putting this scene here!!  it was exactly what I wanted to see.  Such a summarizing ending with a message that TOTALLY sneaks up on you!  so underlying that it takes you by surprise.  I didn't expect to reminisce on the tragedy and being a native NYC for 15 yrs it hit me to the core.  What a beautiful way to visualize a cinematic monument.
