Or u could just simply go to then go to wireless controller device software….. Much easier

The new update has made this video completely obsolete. Just go to settings, go down to accessories, select controllers, and there's an option called "wireless controller device software" and update from there.

The same thing happened to me, to fix it on the back of the controller there’s a hole, use a paper clip to press that down for at least 5 seconds that will reset the controller then try again and if not then use a new usb cable

But the thing is. As soon as i start my ps5 i get the option to update it and once connected to the ps5 via usb C it wont update, the button stays gray and when i cancel the controller turns off

I update latest update yesterday on PS5 but something strange for me happen when push update button, after some seconds PS5 just sing me in in PlayStation screen.
I mean, not show me numbers like before.
Check number of controller version was latest 0307.
So I don't now really is updated controller, or is show fake number
