You don't always get access to airport lounges. We returned from Nashville with a full price BA Club ticket. At Nashville BA Club passengers had no access to any of the lounges. Instead BA provided us with a voucher for food when airside, from selected cafes/fast food places. Anywhere vaguely decent was not somewhere that we could use the vouchers. So we couldn't use a lounge, the vouchers went where they belonged - in the bin. Very poor offering from BA. Mind you, pre-takeoff cocktail and inflight service with BA was very good.

Having to spend £20K in one year to get one (?) companion voucher is a bit of a stretch for the vast majority of people. Even £10K when it's an Amex card which most places either don't taken or charge you to use it. Are there membership fees for these cards? There are in Oz. Especially Amex. And no companion freebies. Just QANTAS points.

thank you for sharing nothing nobody wants to fly short-haul business class flights and make the flight longer people fly business class to arrive fresh and well-rested not arriving tired exhausted because they need to land somewhere else also even with these tips again you cant save sometimes you can but not always airlines they know all these tricks before you.
