It's absolutely worth the money especially if you're room isn't treated and you have budget monitors

Excellent explanation of the benefits AND limitations of frequency equalization!

I noticed that my new sonarworks wasn't working perfect. But what is interesting is that if frequencies are completely cancelled out so that it can't be fixed, sonarworks is actually gonna apply that dip to the other speaker so they have the best stereo image together. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Hey man, I'm so happy I stumbled upon your channel. Every time I watch your videos I grab a pen and paper because I genuinely feel like I'm in audio school (but in a good way lol). I am curious thought as to what your opinion is for the headphone version of Sonar Works Reference 4. Do you think it is a valuable tool for headphone users?

Sonarworks 4 has made wonders with my hd800. Without them the treble is so pronounced that I get fatigue after 30-60mins, but with SW4 its amazing and I can listen for a half a day ^^ But I guess it is very dependant on what headphones one is using, a pair of headphones with already good balance I think would not gain much, but for me it has prevented me selling my hd800s

Can I use Sonarworks microphone as a normal measurement microphone, for example, for room wizard EQ? So I could measure the room, make some acoustic treatments, and then use Sonarworks?

I just started using this and set up Arya as my headphone setup! When your using a program like quboz are you supposed to have your output on sonar works our external headphones! Because I noticed when I have it set on sonarworks the volume does not get that loud even turned all the way up
Thanks

Is such a small-diaphragm reference microphone able to accurately measure sub frequencies for Sonarworks to make corrections in the low end?

Hi, iv got sonarworks , I have a question, I have a SSL6 mixing desk which will be in my mixing chain, when I’m setting up my speakers to sonarworks to calibrate should I plug my mic in to the mixing desk then from the desks to the soundcard. Or should I plug the mic straight into the sound card or interface , thanks

coool video . i use krk rokit7 G4 ...and sonarworks . i found we have samilar Room EQ respond graph . under 100hz below big dip that SBIR cancle the low end below 100? but big bump at100-200 . i use 11 bass trap from wall and side wall even celling, seem dosent work . if Sonarwork boost the low end below 100hz like 50-90 to make it flat .... but SBIR (room mode ) still cancle that boost ....so im litlle confussed about that .. but resualt is that i heard more bass and kick drum after sonarworks, , and graph become flat. but i still cant trust is that really flat enough for mixing . thanks for advice

How did you get REW to record what Sonarworks has corrected? REW seems to bypass it when i try it

I am new to the diy audio world and not a mixing studio
Do I need sonar works for making a active miniDSP 3 way speskers or I should use
MiniDSP and REW itself
I was also seeing Dirac. I am not technical and find rew kinda complicated
