Review Sonarworks Reference 4 Software

Eli Krantzberg offers a walk through on how to set up the new Sonarworks Reference 4 Software.

Sonarworks Reference 4 comes in two flavours. The Studio Edition, which is what I used for this review, is designed to work on headphones and speakers. The less expensive Headphone Edition is a modified version, set up to work with headphones only. They also offer a premium bundle that includes pre-calibrated headphones with the Studio Edition.

When I am ready to render my track, am I supposed to "Disable" / Bypass the plugin on my Master track in Ableton? or leave the plugin enabled on my Master track but Bypass the correction within the plugin iteself with the blue button? I ask because if I disable the plugin vst in Ableton on my Master track my song clips like crazy and is super loud.

I've watched several of Eli's Groove3 videos and found him to be a very good instructor. But this video is bizarre: as many people have indicated the way the microphone was held and positioned was absolutely wrong. If I were Eli, I would either delete this or do another one correctly.

Assuming you make the measurements at ear level, is there any spot you should sit when measuring? I made mine standing up behind the chair, is this ok?

If I am right calibration should be made with a mic stand with mic at ears level.

i am an audio teacher -my thought is this will work like loop room freq problem !! what i mean here yes it analyse the room tone but after that the software will correct the room eq for you but your room will boost or cut the freq again back to the same room problem because the problem from the start from your room it self> thank you

You didn't really review the software, just walked through the set up. I know we can't go to your room to hear it but you could have organized mic-ing up your speakers so we hear what it does across some different material.
