Elvis took that song to a different level. And he was right, he did a much better job than Frank.

I met Frank Sinatra when I gave him and his bidy guard a ride from the Portland International Jetport to the Civic Center. He was a very nice guy and no one could do it any better than he. A limo was sent to pick him up, but he chose to ride in my police car with my Sergeant and me. They were both very gracious and funny. After the show, we took him back to the Jetport.

I do prefer Elvis's version but I will listen to Frank's version also

Had not Frank Sinatra suffered a vocal injury in the 50s, he would have sung many songs better, including My Way.

No I don't agree. Elvis couldn't touch Sinatra. Elvis was an egotistical narcissist. Never got the deal about him. Overrated.
