I don't think the "die hard" fans will be as annoyed with the parts you chose as much as they will be with the fact that you're calling it an "Em Kay" 18 instead of "Mark" 18.

Agree 100% with the fact that some people want fun builds. People get caught up in thinking they need whatever the best of the best have so it can sit in the safe and then make fun of people who are running and using what they enjoy. Great video! Love the build man

*MARK 18… mark. And also the mk18/CQBR was more a “class” of rifle/upper not one set of a specific parts list. Sure DD has their own rifle coined the mk18, but the term is more so just a general term for certain specifications

Expo Arms 10.3 HBAR Chrome Lined 1/7 twist. $77.00

Midwest Industries 2 piece Free Float extended carbine rail. $160

Superlative Arms Piston gas system. $260

Still need to get Palmetto State Armory Pistol Lower $150

Another $100-200 in smaller parts, plus $70 to send it to ADCO and have the block pinned.

I went the same route. Bought a MK18 upper and an Aero M4E1 lower. I wanted a Radian lower but got tired of waiting to get one lol. Great build. Similar to my own, Unity setup and all, but I went the Eotech way. Just need a can and I think mine is done.

I believe people should learn how to build their own AR15s. It really allows you to become familiar with the whole weapon system. Can DD build a better carbine? Absolutely but they also have better tools than I do. The only things I cannot do myself is pin a weld a muzzle device and drill to pin a gas block.

I have a PSA slx 1x prism in front of a 3x vortex micro magnifier on my 11.5'. Love the ACSS reticle at one or three power for close to medium range. It's not a MK18 but fills the same purpose!
