Since I was little, and to this day, I swear this guy looks like Kurt Russell.

Kesey and Jack Parkman were quite the duo in the early 90s man the Sox were tough 😆

156 pitches…back when pitch counts didn’t dictate when to take out your pitcher. You went by their actual performance on the mound

crazy fact about Kit Kesey, he's really Athletics third baseman Carney Lansford who was da team's 1989 World Series batting average leader and served as da film's technical advisor.

Dying of cancer, hasn’t started a game in this decade… throws 156 pitches.. it could happen!

Ha, 156 pitches was standard back in the early 1900s when pitchers started on consecutive days and then played the field on days they weren't pitching 😄

Keasey's plate awareness is phenomenal.

I dont want to hear that the angels werent involved. That "foul ball" was hit to dead center.

White Sox must have horrible run at the pennants because they then loose to Charlie Sheen's Cleveland Indians.

Kesey .518 BA OBP .946 SLG 1675% I’m guessing. Scary guy to strikeout

That's the first or second time that the White Sox lost the pennants

I love this movie, with all my heart...

...but the baseball fan in me is bugged by them saying the Angels won the pennant with this game, when they really won the division. They still had to play the Blue Jays or Yankees or Red Sox or whoever would have been waiting from the East for the pennant.
