The thing that stuns me is strangers ask; where are you going? And they don’t even know me. Next thing is; they charge foreigners MORE than they charge locals. Oh; many die here on motor bikes. Deadly streets… bad drivers. Are the norm here.

Because I am Thai, some of these culture shocks would be reverse culture shocks for me. The worst one is riding motorbike or driving around motorcycles. 😲

Here in Thailand 8 years now. No police officer at checkpoint or anywhere else has ever asked to see my passport. In fact, at checkpoints the only thing I have ever been asked is 'where you go ?' I always reply 'going to big c to buy food' and they wave me right on thru.

Some foreign tourists have never ridden a motorcycle before and have just started learning here, which can be quite dangerous. Many get injured, and some have died here.
