Advanced Memory Training // Using the Mind Palace

In this video I answer a memory training question. As a memory expert I get asked a lot of different memory training questions concerning the Mind Palace or the Memory Palace.

This one requires some advance knowledge. If you don't know what the memory training technique known as the Mind Palace is then you should first watch this video.

Great point about just making things conform to lists, Ron. The other thing people can understand is that memory happens in time, so there is a beginning, middle and end to all information in a linear fashion. (Including these sentences.) Follow those principles and anyone can open up multiple connections in a non-linear way while processing knowledge memorized in a linear fashion.

Thank you for your video, it was really useful because I also didn’t know how to use the memory palace for my courses !

I also have a question : after you have used the memory palace to help you memorize some informations, do you always need to go back to your memory palace to recall the informations, or is there a point where you can recall it « naturally » and instantly, without active thinking ?

I have around 400 courses each year, with a lot of concepts to memorize, and while the memory palace seems really helpful to memorize in the short run, my ultimate goal is to master all those concepts and get to a point where I won’t need to remember what image I associated with each information.
(And at the end I don’t think I’ll be able to remember 400 different memory palaces for each course all together)

So im basically wondering if the memory palace can help me build long term memory.

Your videos are fantastic. I have a question: can you reuse your mind palace? Or each time do you have to make a new one? I am at college and am constantly having to memorize new information and am wondering how best to do that (reuse my mind palace or make new ones weekly).

For supper Memory-- form a image of the word sound and add a image with meaning of the word. Then place this image in a mind place and let your mind relax to think. You don't need to pressure your brain to think. Your brain is smarter than you think. Don't add any image which unknown to you like alien.. Visit your mind palace through journey. Form story with each mind palace. If it needs to connect one place to another palace then connect them. Single mind palace is awesome.

But second, I was thinking about how we can use mind palace in math?

Ron I use these techniques and by time I got advanced, the only problem which I face is that I had to use a single memory palace multiple times..and Still I had to remember all stuff I learnt in the same locis...is it healthy to do the same palace ...
