Resetting the computer/ecm on a 2014 Chevy Impala..I changed to exhaust camshaft actuators an needed a clearing of codes hope this helps

This is the correct way as a mechanic shop owner they charge people $1000 for this and the customer always thinks that it’s a hard fix good job ma

You should check the check engine light codes so you can address the problem but thanks for taking the time with the video of disconnect and reconnecting the battery and fuse

I've got a 2012 ECM Issue. Engine light just came on. Thanks for the help. Gonna give this a try. Did you remove the battery cables before removing the fuse?

What's the point of pulling the fuse if you are disconnecting the battery anyways?

Just so you know you cant get electrocuted with 12v DC power and if you trying to reset check engine light it’s easier to just take it to any auto parts store and they will do it for free!

I image she needs a relearn procure or update the pcm/ecu firmware this is a known issue

Same result by disconnecting neg. battery cable then pos. And connect both together with a jumper wire for 5 minutes. This drains all the capacitors in the computers. Next reconnect pos. Battery cable, then neg. leave set for at least 10 min. Restart and let reboot. If there are no bad parts it will take care of problem. If it need to have ecm replaced.good luck
