About Video Game Sophistry:
Video Game Sophistry is an opportunity to celebrate the creators and the artistry found in Video Games. I believe that Games are the most effective medium from experiencing another world, and another way to live. Expect to see a series of videos showcasing the narratives hidden in every game, interviews with game developers, along with our bench mark weekly podcast, Dialogue Wheel.

Andy Borkowski started this program nearly 10 years ago and, in that time, it has changed from a simple YouTube show, to a radio show, a TV show and now once again a YouTube destination. Welcome to VGS.

My theory is that the whole thing is a self fulfilling prophecy in itself. So Six probably was tormented in the tower by the Thin Man, who wanted revenge for her betrayal, but Six recognized he is Mono and subsequently betrayed him to stop him from becoming the Thin Man, but actually causing it.

The game hits different when you realize The Thin Man is literally trying to stop you from saving the girl that's gonna turn you into a monster. 😔

When you literally realize the chair in the room was more loyal than Six.

I have a few theories.
1. She saw Mono’s face and noticed that he looked like the Thin Man.
2. She betrayed Mono because she believed Mono betrayed back when the Thin Man took her.
3. Time worked differently in the alternate world, and she actually spent years or even decades/Centuries as a monster and that caused her to become evil.

An unrelated theory I have are that Six and Mono are destined to become The Lady and the Thin Man respectively. The shade is just guiding Six to her destination as the TV’s Transmitions are actually leading Mono to his.

"She only watches and warms herself with his corpse." Now in her defense...that baby was cold and she'd been running around in the rain barefoot eluding villains and whatnot. 😭😭

Notice how monster Six doesn't harm Mono until he started to hit the music box? She completely changed

Maybe it has something to do with that

Theory: There is an infinite loop. That’s why there are 2 monos. The thin man and smol mono. The thin man knows what is going to happen to smol mono so he tries to kill him to end the infinite loop. Because smol mono doesn’t know this, he defeats the thin man and then tries to save six. When six saw him, she realized that mono and thin man looked similar and had similar powers. She dropped smol mono to defeat the thin man but instead that’s what caused the loop to repeat itself.

Heres my question: HOW DID THE CHAIR GROW UP LIKE MONO

I think that you're right about Six being evil, and that simplest answer as to why she dropped him is the right one. Specifically, though, I think she dropped him for not reaching out his hand back at her to help her when she was taken by the Thin Man. If you rewatch that scene, she reaches out for help, and Mono sees her doing so, but cowers in fear instead of helping her. When I say that a lot of people get defensive for Mono because there was really nothing he could've logically done, which is pretty much true, but that doesn't matter if Six didn't see it that way. All that matters is her view on the situation. She's a child, and children hold grudges like no one else, whether they make sense or not. Add that to the scenes you mentioned of her acting like a little psycho, and you have a recipe for disaster, as I see it. Also, it's definitely a prequel, I personally think it's probably a time loop, and I have absolutely no real clue as to what the shadow people are lol

Mono is actually the thin man, who trying to save his past life and the game was loop.

When the thin man takes six I think he is either taking her away from Mono, his past self, so she can't betray him or he wants six back, trapping her with the music box

Mono became my favorite character next to the runaway kid. Never really like Six, she was always a bit suspicious to me.
