BREAKING THE CYCLE: Little Nightmares 2 Animation

Part 1.

A little fan animation I made in Blender. Spoilers for the end of the game, if you haven't played/watched it already.

Noticed how Six greeted him with “hey” before he actually smacked her. Trying to calm him down...

I love how Six curls her hand into a fist before almost begrudgingly following Mono. She was not happy about that slap lmao.

That day Six learned a valuable lesson.

Not to betray your friends or else you will be slapped with the same force of 32 cars coming straight at you.

I love how the Thin Man's hat dropped out of nowhere (I believe referring to the cycle ending) and how Monos bag was underneath and when he put it back on I think he is starting to accept his fear or he won't be that trusting to anyone anymore or at least not for a while

Funnily enough, I never tought that Mono was actually trapped in the TV dimension. After having his trust and heart broken, he rather choosed voluntarily to stay inside his room, which represents an upscaled version of his bag, to shield himself from society and more heartbreak.

I love this so much. I like how Mono was ready to attack Six for betraying him but he decides to let it slide because he’s kind that way, but he doesn’t let her actions go unnoticed by begrudgingly saying she can follow him if she wishes. And how he puts his bag on after seeing the fedora really shows how he’s aware of what he would have become and that Six proved to him why he wears the bag. I also like how Six decides to join along in the in, possibly hoping to regain his trust.

1:02 i think this part is really cool! where there’s the Thin Man’s hat and Mono’s usual paper bag hat underneath, and Mono chooses his own hat, kinda symbolizing how he was “supposed” to choose the Thin Man’s path but decided to make his own instead.

the fact that he stopped when he saw her scared of him just killed me because even if she did do that stuff to him he still has sympathy for her and to add on to that he lets her come with him

What's really interesting is that as mono proceeds to slap six and pushes her against the wall, thin man appears behind him ( you can see the frame of the window becoming his legs and you can hear a sound effect with it), symbolising his descent into violence. But when he stops because he sees six is frightened of him, he realises that by commiting to vengeance, he's turning into his spiteful, bitter future self; his compassion returns and he forgives her. He's BREAKING the cycle. The thin man fades behind him disappearing, showing that he has chosen his own destiny.
The hat didn't just appear out of nowhere. It fell onto the floor when the thin man faded away.
THIS IS SO SUBTLE YET SO WELL DONE, I LOVE IT!!!
Edit: six might've even been scared because she saw thin man behind mono, and she was frightened because she could see the boy's bitterness reflecting the thin man.
