I love Esther Day. I shared it with my dad maybe 8 years back now, and Esther Day 2020 was the last time I told him "I love you". The next day he was hit by a drunk driver, pronounced dead at the scene. Esther, you helped me have one last true moment of love with my father, thank you ❤️

The reminder each year that Esther was my age is always both so sobering and encouraging at the same time. I worry that I haven’t done enough with my life, but loving others and being loved is really the most important thing any of us get to do while we’re here.
