Its really good to bring up the fact that simply reducing the amount of data collected is a good step forward.

One thing you should know about providers like Mint Mobile, who use the infrastructure of other ISPs, is that the ISPs like T-Mobile will usually prefer their own customers, so if the network is currently under heavy load you can expect to get worse service than first party customers.
So if the highest quality of service is on the top of your list, maybe go with an ISP that has their own infrastructure.

3:28 What you needed to do there was to look up not the post *author's profile* but the *post itself* – it then gets imported onto the server without the rest of the profile. And then you can boost/comment/fav/whatever.

1:38 this is true for pretty much all and every Fediverse software for some weird reason.

I would like to see a video going over the pros and cons of just having a phone without a Sim or service in general. Is it even worth it to not have service from as privacy perspective, etc?

1:02 Nathan, looks like you're cutting. No judgement, just care
[edit: My guess is you're showing it on purpose as part of healing. Respect, that would be difficult. Being a privacy advocate, all while attracting public criticism, would be hard too. You're doing a great job.]

I'm so not into everything internet that I didn't even know what Reddit was until a few weeks ago when they started hitting the news with some controversy that means nothing to me. It sounds like what would happen if Wikipedia was administered by The Lord of The Flies-meets-Friends, so an alternative doesn't even get an invite to be turned down.

I was on lemmy and then they deleted my account because they didny want to hear facts. Thats how bad it is. No rules were broken also. No warnings or anything.
