If it’s so bad then shut it down! It really hasn’t been
Journey without Perry Vallory and Smith.

Now we know what Steve meant in the VH1 documentary when he said "I never felt like I was truly part of the band."

Journey is not Journey without Steve Perry. Period.

Steve Perry was the smart one! He had the best lawyer around and he still holds position to his song writing rights. Ross and Smitty were lucky that they're no longer in the band, as well. My heart goes out to Arnel, he is the real innocent in this whole thing.

I bet Steve’s only concern is getting his contractually agreed to residuals from the band when he left, but I’m sure he’s breathing a big sigh of relief he left long before this implosion (and others we didn’t hear of). I finally get why in the VH1 doc he said he never felt like he was truly part of the band- thought it was an odd statement at the time, makes total sense now.

I have a close friend who is a great professional musician, the biggest Neal fan. He was in a large Journey tribute band for years celebrating Neal. He has been handed countless cease and desists from Neals' lawyer for decades. Neal personally strikes his YOUTUBE channels too.. It all started when my friend met Neal and told him that he was his biggest fan, and tried to play like him in the very successful Journey Tribute. Neal sneered at him coldly and has been on Neal's radar EVER SINCE, doind whatever he can to bring him down.. Shocking

Actually Neal is a Prima Donna Narcissist. Sad but true. Ask any one around him last few years ... Arnel get the hell outta there bro. You deserve so much better. Get out early. Holy shit Batman. WTF?

It’s amazing to me that adult men who are given the extreme PRIVILEGE of performing music for a living can’t keep their egos in check. They are living the dream of millions of musicians who would do almost anything to be making their living on stage. You’d especially think a legacy band like Journey would just be incredibly grateful to still have enough popularity to get to tour for a living. This kind of squabbling is immature, ungrateful, and unprofessional.

I am so glad I got the opportunity to see them at the Richfield Coliseum near Cleveland Ohio in 1985-1986, right before Steve left the band, I have never been to a concert that sounded so true and just about better that the studio albums, Amazing Show

Steve Lukather of Toto was supporting Journey on a recent tour and said they were traveling via private jet, but Toto was traveling via the much less expensive tour bus. Lukather said he will also always take up Ringo on his All Starr Band tour because it's fun, and that band travels via private jet. Very few music acts can afford to travel via private jet.

I've been around Neal a few times, once as part of the crew. Nobody was allowed to talk to him. We were nothing but servants and now former fans. He was a complete asshole to everyone. It was all about him and his wife.

Neal has always done what he wanted to do regardless of anyone else. He is a great guitar player but not a very nice person. Very selfish.

If I'm spending a few hundred bucks a night and my partner is spending $10, 000, I'm not going to be a happy camper either. I'm with Jonathon Cain on this one. You would think this would be a pretty easy thing to fix??

Just think how Schon would react legally if Perry put a band together that started playing old Journey hits :)

I remember years ago hearing that Schon didn't like the way Perry was picking the songs saying they were too soft while the band was packing the venues and selling tons of albums while getting rich. Schon has always wanted to just be a heavy metal guitarist, which he wasn't. I'm pretty sure that is a big part of why Steve Perry left the band.
