I've taken apart and cleaned out several of these carbs but didn't know the donut piece down inside was removable, good to know 😁

Took mine apart and cleaned, when I put in back together I had fuel coming out the white vent looking thing just above the foil line connector, what your video just showed is this my problem you think

Good point Hank. Although I've never took out that white donut spacer in the middle of the carb. Seems like it's pointless to remove upon cleaning? Great video! Just subscribed

One of these carbs fell apart after my old neighbor hit a rock with the mower, didnt mess anything else up, but the needle fell out and was flooding the entire carb, cleaned carb, put needle back in and it was good to go again, neighbor gave me the mower to keep so I tried to sell it, no luck, by the time we had to move I saw him outside and asked him if he bought a new mower yet, he said no so I said well you can have this one for free! Told him what happened he couldn't believe it, he fired up the mower first pull and happily pushed it back home lol

The emulsion tube comes apart from that white assembly that you pulled out of the upper carb housing. Would that misalignment cause carb to leak out the white vent tube in the bowl, when mower it tilted up on end?
My guess is the needle valve is good since It doesnt leak when sitting on all 4 wheels. Update. Bad start ended up being a little rust on the coil

I had a carb apart, but it had the auto choke. I had trouble getting the emulsion tube back in. The donut had rotated on me. Once I did get it lined up the auto choke wouldn’t work. The butterfly stayed closed and wouldn’t open.
What went wrong?

My carb leaks gas from that little hole vent where that red/orange gasket is at. Gasket is “new” so I don’t get it. Can someone help?

I like the carb from a design and engineering standpoint, but ...
I still don’t care for them

This is what you get when you buy a modern Briggs & Stratton engine a plastic carb in addition a plastic starter cup that breaks and inside the engine along with the professional series 175 and 190cc engines a failure prone PLASTIC camshaft and timing gear. many people tossing these engines mowers and pressure washers out the trash or repowering them with a Harbor Freight Predator 173cc honda GXV 160 clone as its metal inside the engine and the carburetor. its bad what Briggs and Stratton is doing on these walk behind mower and pressure washer engines. becoming cheap in engine building.
