How to: fix a carburetor that leaks gas

In this vid ill be showing yall how to repair a carburetor that leaks fuel out of the intake
Typically the problem is the float valve, sometimes simple as it needing a clean

thanks so much, had spitting and spittering on my 1990 xr250, bought a rebuild kit, come to find out there was a little piece of rubber in where the float valve sits. took it out runs mint and doesnt leak.

Thanks! Worked like a charm. I used a Qtip swab, it didn't look dirty but I cleaned it anyway. Also, I had to change the fuel filter. The engine would sputter and wanted to shut off when gas was applied. I guess this is what happens when you let the bike sit up for 6 months. 😀 Thanks again!

Thanks for the carburetor breakdown & reassembly 👍 I just read that the less ethanol you have in your gas the better it is for the carburetor. Ethanol is a big gunk build up culprit.

I need to change my carburetor tray. If I remove the carburetor, not moving the adjustment screws will it throw the carburetor out of control.thks four your video 😊
