Ugh thank you for being real !!! I know pregnancy is a special time but it’s so glamorized online that it feels wrong to not enjoy it sometimes, it makes you feel alone

One of the things I remember most is the perpetual exhaustion. Growing a human takes a lot of work! ❤

For me the 1st trimester is very similar to a very bad hangover. Its like a hangover that lasts 3 months then turns into feeling like a stuffed sausage 😂❤

So true, and the lack of appetite is the worst for a foodie.😢

When I was pregnant with my first someone told me towards the end of my pregnancy that as soon as they are out I would wish they were back inside. Not once. Not for one moment have I ever wished my children were back inside my body. I have four including baby twins and those last few weeks of twin pregnancy and the first 18 weeks of my pregnancy w my daughter I will never want to do again. Definitely the hardest physical thing I have ever done! On your down moments just picture yourself holding your baby and smelling their sweet head and eat a cracker and have some ice cold cordial. Especially now it’s starting to warm up!

I didn't realize how miserable I could be until this current pregnancy.
With my first I had NO nausea or morning sickness. I was just tired all the time but I still got up every day to go to work from 5am-3pm and go to the gym 6 times a week. That was the smoothest pregnancy.
This one humbled me. I just recently got over the nausea and fatigue at 18wks+3d.
I'm still super grateful that I can carry my child without issues. We had a miscarriage so this will be our rainbow baby.

Yes I wish I knew this too before I got pregnant. The first 8 weeks of my pregnancy was miserable, dark and lonely. And some people have that through the whole pregnancy I cannot imagine. I had to have food in my stomach always or I would feel so sick. Now my son is 2.5 years old and LOVES food.

And yet women are expected to work full-time during this. It's AWFUL!!!

Thank you for posting this. I am currently half way through my 2nd trimester and it has not been the beautiful, ethereal experience I always pictured it to be. It is miserable. I barely eat. I have severe depression, no drive, no excitement.. laying here thinking I am a freak for not have the magical experience other pregnant women seem to have.

I had no idea how non glamourous pregnancy was until now - I'm just over 6 months pregnant with my first and wow! It is NOT at all like they depict it on TV and in the movies!! The first trimester I was SO sick I could barely stand for more than 10 minutes with out the feeling of fainting - Everything felt like a struggle! I was exhausted, my boobs HURT!! I was sick all the time - even in public! It isn't glamourous or always pretty like you think from watching TV... But it is super cool that I'm growing a little human so I guess it makes more sense to realise that it is a rather arduous task for the body and will result in all the less than glam symptoms of pregnancy!! Though I would totally be happy with out the accidental farts! (Yep! I said it - that's a thing! You just can't help it!)

Thank you! I’m 8 weeks in and dying 😭 I thought only the 3rd trimester was supposed to be hard! My hips already hurt and I look emaciated

it gets better !! i promise !! my first trimester sucked, that was actually how i found out i was pregnant, i just thought i was really sick. but once i was a little bit into the second trimester it all cleared up and was completely normal. i’m in my third trimester now and still feeling good ! it’s different for everyone of course but generally speaking, it shall go away !

Whatever level of fitness I had before my pregnancies went out the window. The first four months I was so sick. I've thrown up in streets, especially if I walked past a stinky garbage. I had pregnancies where I couldn't keep down water, I had to have ice or virgin margarita mix (the sour helped the nausea). I threw up eleven times in nine hours once. I had to sleep to keep food down. Plus, add my body's propensity to get varicose veins, and there's no way I could be like those pregnant fitness influencers. I could barely walk some months. My kids are growing up and they are 100%worth it, but it was hard.

37 weeks here mama, you got this!! Do what works for you and keep listening to your body, you're doing great!
(but yeah, for people wondering, pregnancy, esp the 1st trimester, is like having a 24/7 flu/hangover lol)
