I've enjoyes playing a bunch of tube amps of friends and in stores, and I tell you. The tone of the Mark V has simply been ingrained in my head! Every time I try one, it sounds like gold! Can't wait to get one for myself!

Thank you for your time and effort. One issue though. I was really hoping the video would detail how to use the gain, treble and presence to dial in different clean sounds. Those three controls are *critical* to getting everything you can from this amp. I own a Mesa Mark V 90 watt combo. I've owned five other Mesa amps and never got on with them. The Mark V is so good it is stupid. That's not honeymoon talk either, I've had mine for some time now and it is the coolest amp I've ever owned. I've had countless Fender (black/silver face and Rivera era) Music Man, Seymour Duncan, Acoustic, Rivera, Sundown, various boutique amps and the Mark V is truly my favorite of any I've ever had. Only ones close was the Fender Twin II and my Rivera amps.

Good overall review. When anyone demos anything with a PRS all I hear is that fundamental PRS tone (that staticy hi-fi overdrive and compressed clean tone with a brick like attack)

@Tonehook Thanks for watching! This is a PRS Modern Eagle LTD. The bridge humbucker is a 57/08 and the middle and neck pickups are the 57/08 Narrow Field's. The Narrow Fields are EXCELLENT pickups. It's like a humbucker, P-90, and strat-ish single coil all rolled up into one.

Hey Don, thanks for your inspiring and in-depth videos. Because of these vids (and of Rickholyrock) I bought a Mk V. (in Holland, otherwise, I would be a regular customer at your place...). You really know what you are talking about.

@PetieFr I've owned the combo, and trust me it kills... but the low end bass response in the heavy modes (especially with the V shape post EQ) is UNREAL in the closed back 2x12.

Great Demo, I usually hate demos because of the playing, but you did a great jon. I just put a deposit down for the express 5:50, couldnt quite afford a Mark V,
