Luke was right. After what Disney has done. It is time for the Jedi to end. Please Disney have sone sense and kill off Rey. The Skywalker line is dead. She doesn't count. I know starting over will be quite difficult for many people to think about. But you brought this on yourselves. Lucasfilm cannot flex its creative muscle in its current state. Disney is holding star wars back and killing it.

I wasn't really looking forward to seeing the movie till I heard that line. I was like "Holy shit! That's dark!" It made me want to see what made Luke go to such a dark place in the 30 years since we saw Return of the Jedi. What could have warped his perspective so terribly?

I always thought that when he said that it meant the force was unbalanced with any side there either Jedi or Sith, the force is in balance with nothing no Jedi and Sith they have to end, peace is peace no war nothing.

Luke definitely saw R2 memory hologram of Anakin Skywalker killing children. And we don't see baby yoda and Ahsoka either. Snoke or Kylo Ren probably kill them. We have to wait for trilogy between episodes 7 and episodes 6

Luke is right honestly. The Jedi did protect the people of the republic but personally they had flaws. They are like priest that are not allowed to marry and google what happens to priest who do that. Same thing with the Jedi. Their philosophy is messed up and they went too far by overthinking about the prophecy. No wonder Dooku left. We usually see Jedi as the good guys, but deeper we find out that they are neutral or just down right messed up.

it really angers me when people call Rey a hollow character but then complain when they give character development to luke, its like do you want character development or not? (and no the argument of "this isn't how luke used to be, isnt valid" they literally show you all the fked up shit he went through that put him to that point)
