Things that are being overlooked:

This is happening right before finals week/on finals week for colleges. Students want to be able to go to class and study to make sure they pass classes that cost thousands of dollars. (A different problem, regarding education.)

Apparently a majority of the people being arrested are not students. With over 50% of the people arrested on campus at UT Austin, not students. Unsure about the other schools. If interested please look into it.

In a statement sent by UT spokesperson Brian Davis, the university said: "To date, from protesters, weapons have been confiscated in the form of guns, buckets of large rocks, bricks, steel enforced wood planks, mallets, and chains, " the statement read. "Staff have been physically assaulted and threatened, and police have been headbutted and hit with horse excrement, while their police cars have had tires slashed with knives."

Protesters at Columbia University took over a hall, barricading themselves in, and refused to leave. Causing property damage and interfering with learning. From the New York Times: “The people who took over the building were an offshoot of a larger group of protesters who had been camping out on campus in an unauthorized pro-Palestinian demonstration. On Tuesday night, more than 100 of them — people inside the hall along with others outside on campus and those beyond Columbia’s gates — were arrested….. In an interview, Mayor Adams said that 40 percent of people arrested after the protest at Columbia and another that night at City College “were not from the school, and they were outsiders.”“

Probably more info to look into, please research who is at these colleges, what protesters actions are, and what they are advocating for if you are interested.

I love how companies are now EXTREMELY careful on who to hire from these universities, simply to avoid any scandals if it comes out that their new hire screamed "death to all infidels" at a so called protest
