How can Israelis and Palestinians achieve peace? Palestinian peacemaker Aziz Abu Sarah and Israeli peacemaker Maoz Inon discuss the immeasurable tragedies they've experienced growing up in the region — and how they choose reconciliation over revenge, again and again. With a fierce belief in a better future, they talk about conflict, safety, finding shared values and how they're building a coalition of Israeli and Palestinian citizens who are intent on creating a path to hope and peace.

"When I choose to be angry and hateful, I'm being a slave to the person who killed my brother." Wow. 😢

These 2 people are doing what the world needs to do: they are talking, compromising, and making peace.

I started to cry when he said "there´s going to be peace between the river and the sea". There is still hope in the world.

Fighting hate with hate only leads to more hate....this kind of discussion is the way forward

I'm crying by the end of the video, and I'm not even a Palestinian or an Israeli. Just a human being who has a dream of a more connected, peaceful, and just world

Since the war started. These two are the best thing ive ever heard regarding the war. They are absolutely right. We all must throw the past. Open a new page. Be united as one. Muslims, Christians, jewesh... Etc. There is no point by keeping the war on. This must stop.

I’m a Muslim From Kuwait

Few hours ago I was so angry and even posted a very hateful response to an Israeli account cuz he was inciting the the IDF should continue to kill in rafah

But I have to say …. This video and these two courageous men … made me go back and delete that hateful post and have another perspective that peace can prevail..

Thank you …

Watching this, it stood out to me there was no mediator, interviewer, whatsoever, to regulate the conversation. And they were not sticking to a script. They were having a conversation. Both of them talked for a while, listened and then responded. You can see that these people really understand how to listen to the other side and that this is their job, it is beautiful, and I am so glad I and so many other people can learn from these qualities. You two are beautiful rolemodels on how to move forward, to a better place.

"I will always love you for being there for me in my hardest time..."
"You are a brave man" ...
Brought me to tears.

We can never understand how much the amount of sorrow these both might have undergone. Pain can never be expressed, only felt. However, discussions like these matter in today's society especially for them who seek peace and prosperity

I'm an Israeli jew, and this made me cry. Like I cry everyday from Oct 7th. There's so much pain on both sides. There are no words to describe my gratitude and appreciation to these two brave men. Let's get to know each other's narratives and amplify the voice of peace. That's the only way

This is what the world needs. Not warmongers, Not fanatics, Not fundamentalists!
This is what these two sides need Israeli-Palestinian. These two men should lead, these two men who strive for peace. These two men who have lost so much, but still try so hard to find a path of tolerance. These two men are the epitome of what the world Needs now!!!
In a time where there is so much pain and death We must strive for light and love only with this will we overcome these divisions.

This is beautiful. These two men are showing the best example of how to bring peace. If only their leaders would listen to them. It's never a country's people who are the problem. It is the leaders who seek more power, who stoke fear and anger among their people, who cause all the problems.

I wish I could be a good person like these men.

To my Palestinian cousin, from an Israeli:

In the depth of your tears, I see my own reflected,
Divided by great sorrow, yet our destinies connected.
A dream, faint yet radiant, through sorrow's heavy mist,
Where peace and freedom shimmer, our path to coexist.

Side by side, let us forge a realm anew,
Where Christian, Muslim, or Jew, our unity accrue.
Together, we'll pave a path, hand in hand,
Where children play freely, in a peaceful land.

Inshallah, BeEzrat HaShem, let our hearts be bound,
From the ashes of war, let hope's bloom resound.

I am an Indian and I don't see neither Palestine nor Israel at fault but the extremist views that lead to the conflict. I pray for the lives of innocent people.
