I was fighting for air every time when I'm sleeping for 35 years. I received my CPAP when I was 36, and from that on, my brain felt great like never been before!

I am newly diagnosed. I am 39 and suffered for my whole life with snoring and tiredness.
Last night was night 2 on the cpap machine I got 4.6 ahi from 21.5 of sleep test.
This is life changing. When I used cpap it was instant relief.
Day 2 I am feeling so good best I have felt in many years.

I have just been diagnosed with sever sleep apnea, put it this way, on the apnea hypopnea index one of my reading was 112/hr, my blood oxygen level got down to a nadir saturation of 69% & a sleep efficiency of 53%, now I didn't know what most of that meant, but I was immediately sent to a sleep study place & sent home with a CPAP machine so they can study me remotely. I am not very keen on having a nose/mouth mask hooked up to me every night as I can't stand anything around my face when I'm sleeping so still struggling with that one. But, finding videos & comments like this from long time sufferers is changing my mind, so thank you all for that, cheers.

I had 120 episodes an hour 12 years ago, since the first night with CPAP I've slept well & had no issues & swear by CPAP.

i have been so exhausted the past 2-3 years, with a deep desire to sleep all day. I would just start to doze anytime I’d sit still to read or do any work. All of my blood tests showed normal hormones, nothing going on with my thyroid or anything else. FINALLY, I decided to talk with a sleep doctor. I did a sleep study and
I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea at 53 events per hour. I could cry having finally figured out what the problem was!! I couldn’t get my CPAP device soon enough. I am so incredibly thankful for this life saving therapy!!!! I have used my machine for just one week and I have already noticed a difference!! I actually look forward to sleeping now too! (Because I know I am gradually getting back my health, so I can be around for my sons.) ❤️

Ty so much for all your knowledge. I’m learning a lot. Waiting to do a at home sleep study . I wore an oxygen sensor overnight and my odi was 64 . I honestly did not think I had it, but I’m so tired everyday, I do snore and have a deviated septum, and my mother had it. By listening to you, it has taught me so much and i really appreciate it, Thank you 😊

Great vid and I fully agree with the weight loss advise after using my APAP for about 5 years every night I decided to loose weight I lost a 140 lbs in a year and it was life changing with Apnea treatment. The pressure my machine works at is so much lower which makes such a difference to your compliance. I use a nasal pillow mask with a mouth piece to keep it in place with virtually no leakage I am somewhat of a veteran with over 20, 000 hrs recorded on my trusty machine but of all the things I have tried to improve compliance big weight loss is by far the best thing you can do for yourself. And never give up the last 8000 hours since the weight loss have been a breeze good luck fellow sufferers.

This video is so informative. I found my answer I think it's my weigh. Ive always been a thin petite person, I have gained few pounds and most of it on my neck area. I will start by losing 10 to 15 pounds.

Very good vid. Just sent this to my son who probably has OSA (he’s only 31). I hope he gets tested. OSA really messed up my life until I went on CPAP.

Very informative video! Never thought I had sleep apnea untill i kept waking up every night and my gf told me I snored louder than a G6 ✈️ and I stopped breathing sometimes in my sleep 😴. Also I'm Asian so the fact we have narrower airways is interesting.

Thanks very much for the video, very informative. I've struggled with cpap machines for 4 years and only just found out about bi-pap machines thanks to your video. Thanks again.
