just got an ASV machine, took a couple weeks to get used to it and make some adjustments to the mask and my bedding situation but its working out well.
now I know why my life has been so difficult the last 40 years.
today woke up refreshed at 7am and had a fabulous and productive day.
if you need help with CSA get help immediately

This is a general overview, not particularly compelling but most docs won't speak publicly at all on the subject so thank you BB !

Excellent Information, are there any breath exercises we could do before sleep?

I have an ASV machine and I breathe 10 times in min. If you set the machine to 15 times in min that I need, the machine breathes for me 100% of the time. I can not have that at all. So even with a machine, I am at 50% too little in volume air with a machine. The machine has also reggaed with the setting of 10 that it breathes for me sometimes 90% of the time. I have also seen before the ASV machine with measurement that I did not breathe in 8 min. I have waited 2 years now to be admitted. Covid does the hospital says they are not allowed to take me in.

I was diagnosed with OSA during sleep study. However, when using CPAP therapy has resulted in instances of CSA increasing during night. So, what should I do?

You know what causes CSA for some people? Nasal surgeries. They destroy nerves in the nose that sense airflow and provide feedback to the brain to drive the diaphragm/lungs in sync. I know because I had a Turbinectomy that destroyed my ability to sleep. Many others too with Empty Nose Syndrome from nasal surgeries cannot sleep.

Sometimes when I sleep facing up I suddenly wake up gasping for breath and even after waking up I have trouble breathing and I feel like passing out. I have to stay awake for a few minutes and after that I have to sleep sideways. Could that be Central Sleep Apnea? It doesn't happen to me frequently and most of the times it happens when I'm stressed or when I haven't sleep enough hours the night before. I also have a feeling like my spine is been compressed and not enough blood is flowing through it, I don't know how to describe it.

Hi, after having covid istarted to suffer central sleep apnea. I'm really anxious. Can the hyperventilation before go to sleep generate central apnea? i could have even 20 ahi in the first 15 minutes but than the rest of the night goes pretty good, even without apneas!

Can supplemental continuous flow O2, as provided by a concentrator, assist in decreasing CSA events, even if the O2 is used without PAP therapy?

Try stretching your Psoas muscle if you have central sleep apnea.

Complicated and very confusing. Try to resume and restructure the ideas!
