I mean, in the end, everyone's just obsessing over fittings and chasing max DPS to win. But that ain't the real deal. I strongly believe the very first rule to master is "know your enemy." Everything else, like PvP skills, will just come with time. So with that video give you the tool to understand if you will win or lose before you step in to an fight. Watch out the examples in the video !

- If you want to see more of these beginners' guides, let me know !
- If you want to support that channel, do it only ingame. Feel free to sent some ISK.

This is by far the best curated PvP guide I have seen for Eve. I will be linking it in my corp server for new players who are learning to fight. Thank you for making it! o7

Imo everything summarizes under just one rule - Knowledge is Everything.

But intelligence gathering and everything else aside, the importance of knowing yourself part of the Sun Tzu's quote can not be overstated.

No matter how vast one's theoretical knowledge may be, it is quite useless without actual practicing of said knowledge. Kiting is more than just a ship and fit, it's a skill. And one you need to hone to be good at it. Same apples to Brawling, Scram-kiting and sniping as well. It is important to not just know the capabilities of one's ship, but to also have the ability to use them. And nothing beats good old practice.

Luckily, you can fit a cheap frigate for every main flying style. And a few dozen losses will go a long way in making you a more deadly pilot. As long as you keep aware of your surroundings, your inputs, and those of your opponent. Keep questioning and testing your decisions - whether you should've gone into a tighter or looser orbit, kept at-range or piloted manually instead. At which point should you start to heat, or whether not to heat at all to perhaps save cap. Which modules are the most important for you in any given fight - tank, prop, dmg, e-war... Which ones you can afford to burn out or perhaps even offline...

You will make mistakes along your journey to learn. But so will your opponents. Just keep a keen eye out for any potentially bad decisions made - nobody ever said you need to learn from your own mistakes exclusively... Granted, initially most pilots struggle just to survive. But therein lies the opportunity - learning to survive is the same as learning to hunt, just one side of the same coin...

Practice enough, and the situational awareness alone will become invaluable. Gaining a deep understanding of the game mechanics will allow you to pull of 1v2+ fights. And, once you learn to accurately evaluate your odds, and have the skills to ascertain or even improve them, killing blinged out vessels in cheap t2 fits will stop being a dream.

But nothing ever starts without undocking... So go out and have your own little journey :)

PS: Eve having the steepest learning curve isn't a joke. There are too many ships and modules to learn, but well... certain basics apply to a variety of ships/fits. So as long as you fly anything, you're actually learning quite a lot... Even if you don't realize it quite yet... ;)

I suffer from excessive bravery. Its a lot of fun so if you can replace the ships I'd say just go for it most of the time. I can make the isk back in a few different ways, most of which are mentioned on my channel. Microwarp drives increase signature radius to 500% so its not often the right time to use one. For small gang stuff everyone in the fleet carries a scram. We lost out on a Tempest kill one night because someone didn't follow orders. The enemy was well into hull, only one of us left and the target just warped away. The goobasaurus rex who thought he knew better is not invited to fleets now. The initial engagement in cloaky wormhole stuff is best done by warping the fleet onto the target and autodecloaking. Doing it manually means people decloak at different times and the target only thinks to warp out when they see you on their overview, not when you decide to warp in. So might as well have it happen when the entire fleet is 2km away rather than on the way in at different stages of decloaking.

I'm really enjoying your content. Thank you! The videos are succinct and to the point, interesting, and entertaining. I appreciate the audio - the background music supports the content, and your voice is clear and strong. And I get a laugh when you expose the over-inflated egos of NFG and their ilk. I'm looking forward to what may come next.

Always keep an E-war tool (neut/web/painter etc...)
The best way to win is to ensure to apply with efficiency your dps. And if you can help your target to fall with a neut, that's better :D

Really good advice, and choosing targets is a good way to sustain a healthy wallet in Low Sec. Nice Vid Ami :)

Great tips! I noticed that you gravitate towards kiting ships/fits (from the vids I've seen). Do you brawl from time to time?
