Trigonometry Basics (Sin, Cos, Tan)

What an AWESOME video!!!! I've been a long time subscriber and come to your videos when I need to really understand a concept. Haven't been in quite some time but I'm taking MTH 162 (precalc II) this summer semester at community college and I think google is spying because as soon as I finished some orientation stuff your video popped up and honestly I can't be mad because it was right on time and exactly the subject I needed. I remember this subject so well from high school but it takes some practice to get back into the hang of things! Great teaching skills, I think everybody is somewhat of a visual learner so it helps to see the elevation & depression concepts as drawings! If I could take a pic of my notes and send them I think you'd be happy! ahaha Can't wait to watch solving right triangles later tonight! Keep them coming.. it'll be a long summer!

Thanks for this! I'm 13 and in geometry because I skipped pre algebra. Math is really interesting to me. I was just looking into Pi vs. Tau when I got a sudden intrest in trigonometry :) Question though: since you didn't really cover depression, is it essentially the same thing as elevation when it comes down to the formulas and actually solving for a side or an angle? It is incomprehensible to me how a shape such as a triangle can be so important in math when in reality we don't even see them in our daily life. We only get to see them a math classes. Correct me if I'm wrong.
