Replace them with Toyota wheel nuts and problem solved.
I did exactly that on my XJ x385, no issue since

One out of five! I'm surprised they got even one.

Very clever of Jaguar to implement a tire theft protection system.

That's why you don't tighten the lug nuts down with an impact wrench and you use a torque wrench to go to the proper amoint of torque.

Das ist die beste Diebstahlsicherung die ich je gesehen habe 😂❤

And thats why they have a specific torque value when they get tightened!!

In other words, dont let other people do a job that you should be able to do yourself.

No, that’s just called hammering them on with the impact till the stud stretches and then snaps the lug nut! There’s only one way you’re getting them off and you gotta pull the whole hub! Then once you get the hub off, you can spend hours drilling it, or get you a fireproof mat soak it in water wrap it around the inside of the rim and use the torch and cut the studs out of it! That way it’s quick and easy. You can cool the hub down in a bath of oil or water keeping it hardened put some new studs and Lugnuts on it and call it a day once you put everything back together. I’d also inform the customer to never take it back to the person that did that ever again! See I’ve had to do this with a buddy of mine explorer when he decided to put some big rims on it and use cheap lug nuts to take the wheel off and snap the lug at the base just like this And I had to do this very thing to get his wheel off, I’ve been a mechanic for over 30 years. I’ve had to do some messed up things to get wheels off. It’s just the way it goes.! a lot of times it’s mechanics who don’t care for their customers. Don’t want them to come back and they’re gonna make it a pain in the ass for the next mechanic because they know that the shop has to fix. This is gonna make a lot of money off this customer which is wrong so many levels, this is why I tell my customers to come to my shop that me and my mother own, do your homework before you take your vehicle to anyone! Make sure they have a great reputation with their quality of work as well as they do with you as a customer! Because word-of-mouth travels fast you don’t want to get a reputation for being a shop that takes advantage of people or treating customers poorly, this is what gives good shops, a bad name, because when the customer comes in frustrated that another shops already ripped them off and all we do is try to fix someone else’s mistakes. It becomes a tense situation and they want to try to make sure they’re not getting ripped off again me as a shop owner, I always inform my customers and show them what they have. They can watch me do the job and once the job is over, we bring them out and show them what we’ve done customer service always priority. If you’re here just to make money you don’t need to be in this kind of industry, especially if you deal with customers shop work commission tend to be the ones who rob you the most that commission is there in place so the mechanic finds everything wrong with your vehicle. Gives you a mountain of a list of things and tell you he can’t do one without doing the other, so you end up with humongous bill that you didn’t need to do all at once! They sell you all this stuff because they make commission on every part that they sell. This is why mechanics are able to have $100, 000 in tools not all of the certified but even still you don’t have to be certified to be a good mechanic at my shop we show Through pictures reviews and we don’t fake our reviews that is all customer reviews. We go through a few social media outlets and post our work up where mom and Pop shop try to do top quality work and help our customers out.

This is not a problem in the parts from the Jaguar, but in the crooked hands of those who tightened these bolts.

Oh the old Torque to Yield TTY wheel nuts ! They only go on once then you need new ones ! So smart Jaguar, their parts department must be making a killing $$$ !😅😅

If you smack the socket with a 3 Lb hammer before you try to loosen the lugs it helps sometimes.

У меня Е34 и болты заводские, держат почти любую нагрузку, было один раз когда болты не хотели вообще откручиваться, пришлось их ключом с балкой откручивать 😂 но болты не сорвались, вот это понимаю немецкое качество.

How to prevent this issue:
1) Unscrew rad cap
2) Drive any 0-30 year old Lexus underneath it
3) Throw the rest of the Jag in the trash

Some jkas did the impact wrench BS on a car I bought. I had to get a breaker bar with a 4 foot pipe to move it. I also tried my torque wrench and it was over 280ft lbs and still didn't come lose.

Did some of these over 12 years ago guy had only bought the 2nd hand car a week earlier from jaguar dealers, then had a puncture, ended up grinding them off off and replaced full set, dealer paid me for the job

Jaguar nuts are genius and foolproof! In case of excessive tightening torque they snap and prevent wheel studs from stretching and getting snapped, which is unsafe and much harder to fix. Snapped lug nuts are easily removed with a 19 mm hole saw. Never exceed tightening torque!
