Notice the change in her eyes the moment he started singing. That’s what these singers today will never accomplish. It wasn’t about money, fame etc. it was about expressing. Unmatched!

Its a sad reflection on this country that a song like this still holds the same meaning 50 plus years later.

There are some artists who are so talented that they are in a true class of their own, and Sam Cooke was one of those. I reckon he could sing a shopping list and make you cry.
It's to humanity's shame that the change he was singing about hasn't been fully realised yet.
Thanks for the reaction. Take care.

Sam Cooke, one of the best voices ever. A gospel singer in the 50s, he then sang popular music for a few years with that amazing voice. Listen just once to "Bring It On Home to Me"... and you just might.

My son is 28, Sam Cooke is his favourite artist. He's been listening to him since he was a baby and loves introducing his friends to his music. Voice of an angel.

There is a great documentary on netflix about him. He was very very very important. Very very smart, an activist. How he died is very questionable. He was an important beautiful brilliant man. We all bow to Sam Cooke

The message is overpowering. I'd recommend you listen again just for his voice--one of the smoothest purest most soulful voices ever.

We all knew you would love it, how could you Sam Cooke wrote it after hearing, Bob Dylan's Blowing in the Wind, saying a Black man should be writing songs like that....
